Bad luck comes with a consolation prize

Bad luck hits us on the 28th August 2009. Hubby met with an accident when he was on the way to meet a friend at about 7:45pm. Me and Jaiden was at home, suddenly received a call from hubby. He asked me to help to phone up the friend that he is suppose to meet up with, and at the same time informed me that he met with an accident. His voice was trembling, and he hung up the call very fast. I was so worried after that. I do not want to record the details of this bad thing here in my blog, hopefully we could forget this incident one day. Anyway, my hubby is not hurt, but the car is quite badly damaged. The front part (bonet, "sarong", skirting) was badly damaged. Estimated repair fee may be at least RM4-5k. No choice, we have to claim insurance..

Following the unlucky incident, I received a letter a day after from Today Publishing. Jaiden has won a consolation prize as "Star of Pureen" in Parenthood magazine August 2009 issue. We were extremely excited, and went to scout for this magazine. Too bad, August 2009 issue cannot be found anymore. It's already end of August now, September issue is already out. Sigh... Luckily I still keep the record on which photo I had submitted for this contest.

Finally....

After this blog has been abandoned for months, at last I'm able to blog in the office. I guess it should be the outcome from the Employee Satisfaction Survey that they have just conducted that makes our VP decides to open the port for us. But messengers are still no no...

What is Jaiden's development so far? He is able to stand and cruise with help. He is getting more and more naughty nowadays. He is just like a worm (we often call him cacing now). He many times irritates me during his feeding time. Once I lie him down, he will immediately roll and crawl away. That makes me extremely difficult to feed him. Since I'm a hot tempered person, I find it quite hard to control my temper nowadays.

Apart from being naughty, of course he at times melt our heart. He started to talk now. The 1st word from him was ba ba ba ba ba ma ma ba ba... Few tricks that he knows now: -

1) pau pau (full) -> palm on his tummy

2) shake hand

3) where is your leg? -> he'll lift up his leg

4) gong xi gong xi

5) bye bye

6) comb hair

7) dim chung chung

8) call mummy -> he will respond ba ba ba ba....

Something that starts bothering me and hubby now. Jaiden seems to like Ngo Jeh (the babysitter) and her husband more than his papa mama. When we fetch him after work, he will cry and lift his hands towards NJ's husband so that he could carry him. He prefers their house more than going home. Reasons could be: -

1) there are kids at their house who will play with him

2) NJ and uncle seldom scold him. Daddy & mummy always scolds him and everytime says "No" when he starts to hold or play something. If I were him, I will prefer NJ too.... Sigh....

I have no idea what and how shall we raise Jaiden. We can't follow his desire everytime as this may spoils him. We can't be so strict to him as well, as this will led him dislike daddy, mummy and home. How????
