Oral fungus

Jaiden has developed oral fungus, thanks to the confinement lady!!! Oral fungus is caused by unhygienic way of preparing milk. The paed asked us how did we prepare Jaiden's milk. We told him what the confinement lady does normally. She will boil the bottles once a day in the morning. THAT'S ALL!! After feeding Jaiden, she will wash the bottles with plain water and soak it back into the same pot of water that she boiled in the morning. Urrrrggghhh!!! I didn't know that's how she prepare milk for Jaiden. Due to this, Jaiden has to suffer from oral fungus. And due to this too, we have to change all the bottle teats and the pacifier.
Paed prescribed Jaiden Daktarin Oral Gel. We have to apply the gel on the pacifier and let Jaiden to suck. This medication is very effective. After applying once, we saw a major improvement in Jaiden's mouth. The fungus has reduced a lot. After 5 times, fungus in Jaiden's mouth has totally disappeared.

Now onwards, I have to take control on sterilizing all the bottles to make sure that they are clean before every feed.

Jaiden 2nd outing (both 1st and 2nd outing is going to see the paed): -

Not too clear, but some fungus grown on Jaiden's lips can be seen...

Baby Lim Fang-Ze, Jaiden has arrived!!!!

Finally, our loooooong waited baby has arrived on the 16th October 2008. That's the day daddy & mummy are longing for. Daddy & mummy has been telling baby Jaiden every now and then to only come out to the world on the 16th October 2008. IT WORKS!!! Fetus education works!!

Labour process
I have started on MC from 13.10.2008 as my gynae told us that baby will be arriving anytime. On the 15.10.2008, before we go home from my dad's home, we went to Taman Segar for hokkien mee. While we were walking towards the car, my water bag burst! I felt a sudden rush of water for 3 times.
We rushed to the hospital and reached at 9pm. The nurses did all the necessary checks on me, which of course makes me very uncomfortable. Anyway, this is part of the process and I have to bear with it.
They asked my hubby to go home as the labour will not start so soon. He went back unwillingly at 10:45pm.

Time pass... and my contraction became more severe. As the nurses came for check-up, they told me that it was only a mild to moderate contraction. Hence, I have to wait... 1am... 2am... mild to moderate contraction. OMG!! I was thinking, how long more do I have to wait... 3am... ouch!! The pain became more severe. However, I'm not sure if it has now reaches the major contraction. Hence, I used the breathing technique to hold on to the pain meanwhile hoping that the process will end soon. On the other hand, I am asking myself, when will I be given the pain killer....4am... 5am... the pain was almost unbearable. The nurse came and asked how do I feel. I told her that the contraction is very painful. She quickly did a dialation check on me, and to her surprise, it was 8cm dialated. In a hurry, she demanded the other nurses to get prepared and send me to the delivery room. I quickly send hubby a short SMS to inform him about the status and asked him to come to the hospital.

5:15am, I was in the delivery room. Contraction continues... I took a 2nd look at the clock after 2 times of major contraction, and it was 5:20am!!! Gosh!! Only 5 minutes, and I had 2 major contraction. It was soooo painful. I was given the gas as one of the pain reliever. Hubby arrived at about 5:30am seeing me in pain. He can do nothing but to look at me in pain... using the gas, fingers holding it sooo tight until my nails turned purplish in colour. As contraction goes on, I felt an urge that the baby is pushing himself out. As the gynae is yet to arrive, I was a bit panic as I do not know how to control the baby from pushing. In pain, I told my hubby to tell the nurses that the baby is pushing himself out. The nurses came and asked me to push hard once the contraction begins. PUSH... PUSH... PUSH... It was extremely difficult. I have 2 things in mind: -
1) can I manage to push and deliver the baby?
2) I must push hardest possible, soonest possible, to end the process.
The gynae finally arrived. He asked me to push. Again, it was an unsuccessful attempt. He performed episotomy and said that the next contraction, I will be able to push the baby out. It's true! Next contraction, I used all my strength to push and finally.... I heard Jaiden's cry. The process has finally ended!!! And I have delivered a baby boy.

Baby will arive within the next 72 hours

Today might be the last trip for us visiting gynae for check up. According to gynae, baby will arrive within the next 72 hours as my cervix is 2-3cm dialated. Gynae again told us that the baby is not going to be small. This was the 3rd time he told us the same thing. I'm kind of worried... and I can't control myself but cried infront of the gynae. I just can't explain why... Was it the pain from the check up? Am I too scared that the baby is too big? Am I too scared of the labour pain that's just 72 hours (or even less) from now? I can't answer...
Now... let's just wait for our precious to arrive anytime soon... Maybe tonight? Tomorrow morning? Maybe... 16th? ;-)
Stay tune for my next update with my baby's photos ;-)

Baby new toys from DKSH Warehouse Sales

We went to DKSH Warehouse Sales today, main purpose is to grab Mattel products (toys) for our baby. Oledi said fullstop on buying toys, but we have no discipline at all to really stop this "activity" :-p So here we got a few more new toys for our little one.
All these only cost us RM102. If not from warehouse sales, I believe these few things would have cost us at least RM300. But I have to sacrifice again.. from a lean feet turned to pork knuckles again after about 1+ hours of shopping! What to do... being a mummy-to-be have to start learning sacrificing for their little one lo...

Baby's position

We went for pre-natal check-up this morning. Gynae told us that baby is very "guai"... baby's head has turned downwards!! Baby has been listening to our "command" to turn his head downwards ;-) Baby's measurement & weight is growing at normal rate. Mummy do not have high blood pressure nor diabetic. Thank God!! But mummy has water retention on the leg. Mummy's leg is like pork knuckle now :-S

Counting down... less than 2 more months to go...

Continuous preparation...

Preparation can never finish... I received a call from a sales girl from a shop in Leisure Mall saying that they have new Mucical Mobile stock. So happened that I'm going for my facial on that day, me and hubby dropped by the shop after my facial. What happened?? SPENDING...
We bought our baby a musical mobile, stroller pad and a foldable mattress. This foldable mattress will be used for baby's play pan.
My baby is kicking and moving more and more prominent these days. I don't feel like waves in my stomach anymore. I really feel that there's something hard inside my tummy, moving and kicking at least continuously for 10 minutes in every 1-2 hours. 31 weeks already... Counting down days...

Toys again

We bought our baby toys again!!! I think we are 1/2 way out of control by now. We purposely drove to Kuchai Lama to go to this showroom after browsing their webpage. Both of us agreed that these will be the last time buying our baby new toys ~ not until we really need some new toys when he grows up.

I don't know if our baby likes these toys. But mummy certainly love the doggie hahaha... Daddy keep saying mummy might fight for this doggie with our baby next time ;-) We shall see...

Warehouse Sales

Today, 2nd August 2008, is a super duper tiring day for both of us.

7:50am: Reached Dr. Bux clinic for medical check-up.
9:00+am: Breakfast at Imbi.
10:00+am: Battle in the Pureen Warehouse Sales.
To our SURPRISE, Pureen Warehouse Sales sells products that are newly manufactured. We grab a lot of stuff!! View it...
Err... A lot here??? NO. See the front view....

We spent about RM700 in total. No doubt it's quite a huge sum of money to be spent in 1 day in 1 warehouse sales, it worth the investment as we need these items sooner or later. So why not buy more and stock up since these items are newly manufactured ;-)

I think we are almost done in stocking up items for our new member in the family. Photo below includes all new clothes bought from various shops.

Baby's 1st toy

Today we've got our little one his 1st toy - a rattle teether. I like this quite much as I'm a little fan of Disney cartoon ;-)
I've told the little one in my stomach that this is his very 1st toy and mummy & daddy likes it as well. We assured him that he'll be protected by us and we're looking forward for his arrival in October!

Baby mattress

We've got our baby a baby mattress today. After much consideration between a latex mattress and a coconut husk mattress, we have decided to go for coconut husk due to a few reasons: -
1) coconut husk can protect baby's back bone.
2) coconut husk mattress can be brought under sun shine if baby pee pee on it.
3) coconut husk mattress is 4Xs cheaper than a latex mattress.

Since this mattress can only be used for a maximum of 1 to 1.5 years, we were thinking not to spend too much on it. Luckily we have got a sales girl who told us the good points of a coconut husk mattress (as listed above). So we have no hesitation to buy our baby a coconut husk mattress.

The mattress at a measurement of 118cm x 60cm cost us RM140 (after 20% discount from a mattress fair at Leisure Mall). We are very satisfied with the quality. It's not the ordinary coconut husk mattress which is extremely hard. It is made of layers of coconut husk and processed rubber. So it's pretty soft and comfortable for our little one.

Our baby will be sleeping comfortably on a coconut husk mattress with a latex pillow soon ;-)

Fetus Education

Michael was introduced to a book by his friend - a fetus education book by "Chet (7) Thin Jen" (a Japanese author). Hence, we bought the book from a bookstore and Michael has to read it to me word by word as it is written in Chinese.

There are quite a few things that a mummy needs to do when the little one is still in my tummy. One of the most important thing is "Communication". We always thought or wonder if the little one in our tummy can actually hear us. The fact (at least from this book) is that he can do more than just hearing, but also can feel what their mummy is feeling and seeing. Thus, the most important thing that I need to train myself is to be POSITIVE and CHEERFUL. With these, my baby will come to this world happily without worries.

Another thing, which I have been practising since the little one was 1 month + in my tummy; I've been telling him the date and time that he should come out naturally (natural birth) to the world. True enough... this is written in the book itself. I truely hope that my baby will fulfill my little wish ;-)

Another amazing findout from the book!! Fetus in the tummy can do self-healing if the mummy request him to do so. Hence, I have just started to request my precious one to be healthy, heal himself from any kind of illness before he comes to this world. I hope my baby will be as healthy as possible and meet his daddy, mummy, relatives and friends on the defined date ;-)

Opening Ceremony

Hi family and friends,

Never thought of blogging all these while... But for my little one in my tummy now, let me try my best to start blogging to update my family and friends about our status ;-)
As of todate, the little one is 22 weeks in my tummy. How do I feel seeing my tummy getting bigger and bigger?
1st: OMG!! Can I slim down after I deliver?
2nd: Ops!! I can't fit into my blouses and pants anymore! What should I wear to work?
3rd: Hmm.. since I am a mummy soon, all I want is to have a healthy and handsome/ beautiful junior ;-) For my body.. ahem... I'm not slim all along, so it's not too late to differ my diet plan to next year ya ;-)
4th: Ohh.. baby inside my tummy.. what are you doing right now? Can you kick mummy harder so that I can feel you moving inside?

I don't think I can describe my feelings from the 1st day I know that I'm preggie until now. The list is simply too long... But most of all, my little one must be a healthy little baby.

Guess what...
This little one is a gift from God on Valentine's Day 2008.
